Meet our Sept/Oct Resident, Mitzi Pederson!
Mitzi Pederson’s sculptures employ standard, prefabricated materials such as plywood, tulle, and concrete. The treatment and assembly rely on tension, endurance, vulnerability, and chance to allow for transformation. These compositions depend on the relationships established between the materials and her sense that there may be mysteries internal to them. The result concerns the occupation of space and the limits of form.
